Northern University
The University is presently based in its two campuses, at Nowshera. The city campus is centrally located and is easily accessible through public transport. Main campus is located at Wattar Walai Ziarat Kaka Sahib Road, Nowshera. The foundation stone for the main block was laid by Mr. Khalil Ur Rehman, Governor NWFP in April 2005 The university presently has four faculties, with adequate facilities to become center of excellence in its own right.
 
News & Events
  1. Northern University has been upgraded to “W” category (old category “A”) in March 2009.
  2. Introduction of M.Phil and Ph.D. programs
  3. HEC PhD review committee visited university on June 13, 2012 and carried out necessary evaluation of University PhD Education Program.
  4. Full Fee, Zakat Based Scholarships available to the students. Presently 49 students are availing this Financial Aid.
  5. EDR Trust Subsidize Fee.
  6. Sports Events inter department matches scheduled in November 2012.
  7. Study Tour to PTC Akora Khattak and Attock Oil Company plan in December 2012.
  8. BSc Home Economics (Hons.) and BSc Textile & Fashion Design (Hons.) planned in 2012.
  9. Convocation tentatively planned in November/ December 2012.
  10. MBA & BBA programs effective Spring 2011 will be run according to HEC Policy Enforced in the year 2010/2011.
  11. PhD Program in Education have started since Year 2009/ 2010.
  12. Environmental Science MS and MPhil Programs launched effective Summer 2011.
  13. KPK Province have placed great emphasis to the district of Nowshera and lately foundation stone of all police training establishments have taken place across the campus road Hattar Wali Ziarat Kaka Sahib.
  14. University will collaborate police training degree programs and will open new departments.
  15. Students are required to give Paper Affidavit for the collection of original Degree.
  16. Transcript/ Provincial Certificates/ Degree are Subject to verifications.
  17. New Logo of the university effective January 2012.

  18. The improvement in the intake of university admissions and graduating student’s performance is a clear indication of its quality control.

  21. Scholorships
    To promote higher education in Nowshera, EDR Trust is giving  scholorships to all students i.e. 40% of tution fee, since year 2003    
  22. The University has 13 PhD Faculty members on its roll.
