Northern University hostel features spacious rooms with ample bed capacity, ensuring a restful stay for every resident. The entire facility is 100% powered by renewable solar energy, backed by UPS battery systems to guarantee uninterrupted power.
We offer three fully equipped kitchens for self-cooking, along with a meal plan at a fixed cost for added convenience. High-speed internet is made possible through a dedicated 60-foot PTCL tower, providing reliable connectivity across the premises.
To ensure safety and peace of mind, the hostel is under 24/7 CCTV monitoring, creating a secure environment where all residents can live and work comfortably.

The university reserves the right to modify the hostel rules as needed. Hostelites will be informed of any changes. These rules must be read in conjunction with all other university rules, including the student code of conduct and the disciplinary rules.
The Warden shall directly hold control of the hostel and administer the hostel affairs.
The Warden shall be provided with free accommodation in the hostel.
The Warden shall be responsible for maintaining discipline, law and order in the hostel and shall use his discretion and judgment in all cases requiring immediate attention and action.
All students of the hostel shall be under the direct supervision of the Warden. The Warden shall be responsible for the efficiency of the services of all hostel students.
The Warden shall be responsible for a proper account of the hostel dues.
The Warden shall also be responsible for sanitation in the hostel, including lawn and landscape maintenance.
The Warden shall organize social and cultural activities in the hostel through Hostel Committee Members selected from among the hostel students, with prior permission of the Pro-Rector.
The Warden shall be responsible to appoint / dismiss student wardens.
The hostel warden shall be responsible to allocate any student in any room based on sociocultural, linguistic, and other factors. This ensures a multicultural environment for students from diverse backgrounds to interact and learn.
Only regular students enrolled in BS programs offered at Northern University are eligible for admission in the hostel. Students enrolled in MPhil and / or PhD programs offered at the university are not eligible for the hostel facility. However, under exceptional cases, students enrolled in MPhil and / or PhD programs may be permitted to stay in the hostel after due permission from Hostel Warden & Deputy Registrar - Administration.
The student taking admission in the hostel shall submit an application in NORTHERN UNIVERSITY Deputy Registrar - Administration Office prior to admissions. Applications with incomplete/incorrect information will not be considered.
No weapons are allowed in the premises of the University (including hostel).
As per Northern University AD&T Policy, no drugs, smoking, vaping or alcohol is allowed in the premises of the University (including hostel).
• Heavy fines are imposed on violators as per Northern University AD&T Policy.

• Any AD&T Cases should be directly reported to AD&T Committee.
As per Northern University Harassment Policy, harassment is strictly monitored, and the policy is followed in true letter & spirit.

No Heaters or gas cylinders are allowed in the premises of the Northern University Hostel Rooms.
• Heavy fines are imposed on violators as per discretion of Hostel Warden.
Cleanliness must be observed at all times in the Northern University Hostel Rooms, Common Areas & Washrooms.
Quiet hours must be observed by hostel occupants by avoiding disturbing other hostel occupants during them.
• Disturbance includes playing loud music or keeping lights during quiet hours.
Hostel furniture, electrical appliances and / or other items must be maintained and not damaged.
• Heavy fines are imposed on violators as per discretion of Hostel Warden.
• Plugging in high voltage items including but not limited to iron(s), heater(s), AC(s), fridge(s), freezer(s) is strictly prohibited.
Northern University is not responsible for any incidents that may occur with the hostel occupant(s) outside Northern University premises.
Hostel occupant(s) must not engage in any bullying, violence, discussion on religion and / or discussion on politics.
Arrival & departure at Northern University Hostel is permitted only between 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
• Hostel occupant must inform Hostel Warden if intending to depart for more than 1 day (including vacations and / or breaks).
Designated quiet hours are between 08:00 PM to 06:00 AM.
• Discipline for quiet hours are notified above.
Visitors are only allowed during permitted arrival and departure hours from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
• Each visitor must be registered at Northern University Gate.
• Visitors must depart before notified timings of Northern University Hostel.
• Only 1 visitor is allowed per Northern University Hostel occupant.
• Heavy fines are imposed on violators as per discretion of Hostel Warden.
Northern University Hostel Administration has arranged an on-call Doctor (General Practitioner) for medical emergencies.
• In case of any emergency, the hostel occupant(s) must inform the Hostel Warden and / or Hostel Assistant Warden, the said officials will then request the Doctor (General Practitioner) to visit Northern University Hostel based on their availability.
• The Doctor (General Practitioner) may refer the said hostel occupant(s) to another doctor / nearby hospital if needed.
• The hostel occupant(s) will be responsible for the cost of any ambulance, medicine(s), medical test(s) and / or treatment(s) as per the discretion of the Doctor (General Practitioner).
In case of any violation of the above-mentioned rule(s), a fine shall be imposed based on the severity and nature of the offence.
Violations of rules may lead to:
• Verbal/written warnings.
• Fines.
• Suspension or expulsion from the hostel.
• Intimation to parents or guardians.
The hostel is conveniently located within the premises of Northern University, offering quick access to academic blocks, administrative offices, and transport links, making daily routines smooth and stress-free for all residents.

The hostel activities organized by Northern University Nowshera provide students with opportunities for recreation, social interaction, and personal growth.
